Mr. C.M. had two prior felony convictions and was facing a lengthy prison term if convicted on this case. Therefore, he was offered a plea agreement to 2-8.75 years in prison. Mr. C.M. rejected the State’s plea offer and elected to proceed to a jury trial. On the day of trial the State dismissed the case.
